Which grip do you use and why?

I grew up using interlock because I was taught that way. Now I overlap, feels more comfortable and seems like I release the club better/easier through the shot. Seems like most people I run into interlock but overall I'm guessing it's probably 50/50.

I changed from ten finger to overlap and it made it feel like I had a lot more control over the club. Interlock feels completely foreign to me.

I started playing with the ten finger and then moved to the interlock. The interlock seems to help me keep the club face closed for some reason.

Same for me. I definitely had problems pushing shots and switching to interlock helped me get rid of that problem.

When I first started playing I was using a 10 finger but over the years have gone to an overlap. The interlock just isn't comfortable for me at all.

Define your individual grip choice for the guys that dont know the slang.

THANKS!

Overlap vs. Interlock vs. Ten Finger ???????????????

I guess I didn't think anyone used 10 finger...that really played the game, anyway.

I was taught interlock, but switched to overlap almost immediately as I seemed to have better control. Have never look back.

I interlock, but one of the best golfer I know (well at least the best player I know who I play with on a semi-regular basis) uses the 10 finger grip. I certainly don't understand it, as I've always seen it as a "slicer's grip", but his results speak for themselves.

Doesn't matter how you grip the club if the face doesn't come straight through. If you're pulling your arms in as you swing, you're going to slice it no matter how you hold the club.

I use the ten finger and I would say I shoot high 80's most rounds. I use to shoot interlock but for some reason it just wasn't that comfortable. Maybe I should try to the overlap approach to see how that works for me.

This. If you haven't committed to a grip, try them all and see what works the best. Don't worry about it being comfortable. The best for you may not be comfortable. Thats the thing in golf. If you were ever to take a lesson and do the things they tell you, often times it won't be comfortable but after a short while it will be second nature. There is no one way to properly swing a club. There are only proper positions. You can get there many different ways.
