I kinda think this is better than them losing (for us anyways) - completely tested/exposed yet they don't lose - so their not pissed for next week's game.

I really hope we can have a solid game tonight and make all the Huskers worry... Ball State had 600+ yards of offense... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
I would be ecstatic if we go into Lincoln next week and get 400 yards of offense.

Alright, if Ball State gets 600 yards against the "Blackshirts" what kind of numbers would OU have put up today?
I just got to my parents house over in Harlan (semi-Husker territory) and got to listen to the Husker radio all the way over. It was pretty sad how on a 65 yard bomb for a touchdown for Ball State the announcers pulled (in monotone) "and he catches it on the 5 and goes across the goalline."
While on the next Nebraska series they threw an 18 yard touchdown and we get "what a spectacular play for his first touchdown catch!! This unsung Husker hero from the Land of 10,000 Lakes is turning into a heck of a little receiver!!! Well we would go to commercial but we're going to revel in this 18 yard touchdown instead!!!"
Almost made me puke but it was twice as sweet when Ball St. went up 9 with the ball and they had to admit "Nebraska is going to have to start playing better or they could lose this game!"

Well they sure as heck aren't going to be all giddy about the opponent scoring! They've got to keep the 'skers happy. Which they aren't.
True...I'm not saying they should have been just as excited when Ball St. scored, but I just couldn't tell whether it was a 3 yard run or a 65 yard touchdown bomb from listening until the play was over. At least our radio guys have a little change in their voice when theres a big play either way.
definately. and coach mcfarland is going to have a blast watching this game film. and todd and bret and the rest of the offense too.
