Ghost Hunter TV shows

I have always wondered, with the tens of thousands or more of claimed ghost sightings... why isn't there any tangible evidence in any of the cases? With how many claims people have made, I would think there would be a few with real evidence, real ghosts caught on camera, etc... something more than just a shadow and a noise.
I just watched Ghost Adventures for the first time. First of all they are led by a gelled hair frat boy. These guys just carry around a recorder that records noises, the whole show is filled with random noises that they hear when they amplify the volume x100. They then put some random words to the noise as a subtitle. These shows make me laugh.
Ghost Adventures is one of the most hillarious shows ever.
In terms of ghosts, I'm a skeptical believer. I've personally seen and heard things that I can't explain. Does that mean that I think every bump in the dark or blurry object in a picture is a ghost? No, but there is no reason for me to belive that there is definitively nothing out there anywhere. People say that with our technology, we should have caught it on camera or something by now, but really, we know nothing about ghosts. Maybe there's something about them that doesn't allow our "primitive" technology to record them. Maybe it would take the development of being able to take a 3-dimensional photo to be able to catch them on film, who knows? We think that our technology is so advanced right now to do so, but for all we know, 25 years from now we'll be looking back and laughing at what we use.
Science and technology are moving at a break-neck speed and I see no reason why I shouldn't think that at some point in the future ghosts existing were common knowledge. Just a couple hundred years ago most people would have scoffed at you if you said dinosaurs existed.

This is the experiance I had. My wife and I moved into a house that we know the previous owner died in. About 1-2 weeks after living there we noticed that sometimes the living room lights would be on. Thes where our 2 touch lamps that we had out there. Then one night while we were in the living room the lights started to turn on and off on there own, and voices started coming out of the computer speakers. You couldn't make out what the voices were saying, but you know they were words and laughter. Really freaked my wife out. The voices went on a coupld times a week, and the lights stopped after we replaced them with regular switch style lamps instead of touch lamps.
I forgot to add, it wasn't a ghost. My next door neighbor had a HAM radio and I don't think it was quit legal. When he was on his radio, certain frequencies were what was causing the lamps to turn on and off, and I had an old crappy pair of computer speakers that weren't sheilded very good. But it did freak out my wife until I came home and figured out what it was. You could make out enough of the words on the speakers to hear it was my neighbor.
