***Georgia State Prediction Thread***

As long as Niang has a good game, ISU wins. If Georges has an off night, it will be close.

I feel confident with Monte guarding Harrow and if we must, we can put Dustin on Hunter.

ISU 87
GSU 74

Interested in seeing what happens because I think we can match up against defensively with our best defenders. I am a lot more concered against teams with bigs since that is our weakest defensive positions

ISU wins 91-78. First half is close and ISU goes to break up by 5. ISU goes on run early in second half and holds that lead

I do hope it's a good test though; after GSU, 4 of our next 6 are against major conference opponents, so it will be nice to have a little bit of a pressure situation prior to that.

I am curious about their front court, have heard absolutely zero about anyone other than harrow, hunter, and ware. Is their front court basically non existent or do they have someone decent? I do agree that a monster in the front court poses a bigger issue for our team.

This is one of a few non-con games that I'm pumped about!

With a consistently (almost ravenous) Hilton crowd (doubt we'll see that): 90 - 80 Cyclones.

With a quieter Hilton crowd, except for the end and big moments (like the Oakland game): 85-83 Cyclones win it on the last possession.

By the way, I thought the students were AWESOME for the Oakland game. Many of them were yelling when the Cyclones were on defense the whole game and making it tough for Oakland to set up its offense / communicate. The old people (myself included) not so much. Too much sitting on the hands and waiting for the Cyclones to give us something to cheer about. It should be the opposite at Hilton - the fans should lift the players up!!!

Hope it's like a big-time Big XII game atmosphere tomorrow. Honestly, a bad call or two against ISU could be useful as it would get the old timers into the game and booing the refs! Haha. I'll be loud from the upper deck.

Ill answer my own question about GSU's front court incase anyone else was wondering.

Have 6-10 230lb Senior Curtis Washington. Appears to be their best big but stats aren't really impressive. Stats from first game; 13 pts & 7 rebounds in 18 mins. 13-14 stats; averaged 7.5 pts & 5.9 rebounds per game in 23 mins.

6-7 225 lb Junior TJ Shipes. Stats from first game 10 pts & 8 rebounds in 15 mins. Stats from his Fresh and Soph years are so low that I'm not even going to bother posting them (Adam Woodbury bad).

6-8 230 lb Junior Jalen Brown. Stats from first game 8 pts & 3 rebounds in 23 minutes. Had no stats from Fresh and Soph year so I assume he is a transfer or something.

After looking into their front court I do feel better about this game. They do not have anyone that can keep up with Georges, Hogue, or Edozie for that matter.

This Georgia State team is undersold by Cyclone fans! They are just as competitive as the teams within the Big XII.

Iowa State 83, Georgia State 72.

Lower scoring than expected, because Hoiberg makes the team focus on defense in this one.

Next week, it might be something else that requires improvement.
