Gator Chop

I don't remember seeing any of the Iowa fans do it yesterday at the football game...

I have, however, witnessed fans at ISU basketball games do it many times...

IMO, neither fanbase should do it.

This is all I could come up with. If you know someone with photoshop, I think you'll only need to change shirts on 30k fans or so.

Don't the Hawks do it after they hold someone on 3rd down or maybe it's 4th. They play the music from Star Wars or Battlestar Gallatica.
 
They do it after 3rd down stops as the Hawkeye Marching Band plays the Imperial March

I also believe this is the game when it got started. I asked my Hawk buddies about this earlier this year and they said it basically started the year Iowa beat Florida in the Outback bowl just to **** off Florida fans even more.

I remember Iowa doing it before then, but it was nowhere near as popular. I was at a game in Kinnick in 2001 and remember doing it once. I later attended a game in 2004 and did it every third down stop.

They definitely did it when I was in high school. I was at that Outback Bowl against Florida, and they had done it before then.
 
ummmm, the Hamms beer song is still played today, isnt it? Thats is the song where all the cheerleaders do the chomp back and forth and the band keeps doing th chorus faster and faster?!? Am I wrong? It sounds nearly identical to the drum beating in the Hamms commercial, but I think its played by horns in the band.
 
They also do it at basketball games just before the opening tip.
