Gary Clarke Photos

OK. To play a little devil's advocate here-
Let me preface this by saying I was playing in a CFB game that night and was in the training room injured for quite a while after the game and never saw it. Up until this point I just believed everything I heard.
-Everything hinges upon whether or not his left foot is out of bounds, and it actually looks like it is in this photo. I believe the college rule is like every other level and unless the ball broke the pylon before his foot went OOB, then the ruling is correct and the ball should be spotted short of the goalline.

The heel of his foot is up in that shot. Only his toes are on the ground, and to me it looks like he could be inbounds.

I will admit that most replay officials probably wouldn't consider this shot conclusive evidence to overturn the call, though.

Foot looks in bounds to me. It was the first thing my eyes went to when looking at this shot.

We were on that side of the field, in the front row, literally on the goal line. I'm not one of these types that holds onto these things for years and years. It's over and done.

But, that was a touchdown - period.

I seem to remember one of the initial reasonings for him being ruled out of bounds was that the ball was in his right hand when he left his feet, and therefore over the sideline and out of bounds. This picture clearly shows that the ball is already extended toward the pylon well before he went airborne.

I think you could argue either way that his foot is in bounds or out of bounds. My take is this: if the call is doubtful, why not reward the kid for a stellar effort? If he's not obviously out of bounds, give him the TD. Just my $0.02

Anyone have a video of this entire run? Wasn't it like a 25-yarder or something?

I don't mean to hurt Gary's sales by saying this.....but why would any cyclone fan want that picture up on the wall?! I would get po'd every time I look up and see that pic!

I want it on my wall. It signifies all that it is to be a true cyclone fan. To endure decades of getting pounded to get to that point only to be ruled out of bounds.

Even if his foot is out of bounds did they not spot the ball at the 3 yard line instead of the 1, for that last option play?

Hang it above your bed and it could very well prevent unwanted pregnancy.

Yes. Freaking goal line option play against FSU's fast front seven on the last play of regulation.

One of the LB said that as soon as they saw the FB go in motion, they knew exactly what play was coming and where. Seneca had no chance on that play.
