Gary Barta everybody

So what if discriminatory stuff was being stated? Is that the same as F State? You condone discriminatory statements? I am just speculating like everyone else is now.
You answered your own question slick. You are speculating. You think it's ok hack fans threw beer cans and dumped piss on ISU band members? That actually did happen unlike you making up **** speculating it was discrimination. Get off fanatic and go back to hacknation loser.

So please you obviously know what happened Saturday night, please do state the exact details.

I'm guessing it's going to be roughly on par with the things I've seen Iowa fans do to the ISU band.

But this has happened to the Iowa band once. I personally have seen the thrown beer cans/garbage three times. My mom was in the band when the series restarted and said the same **** was happening then (she got beer bottles thrown at her). So it's pretty reasonable to conclude that the behavior hasn't changed in the intervening years.

The hack trolls will avoid this post because they know it's true.

I don’t know that it’s true. I’ve been to 5 or 6 Iowa-Iowa State games at Kinnick and have never once seen anyone throw anything at an opposing fan, or engage in anything other than good natured ribbing. I guess all these horrific Iowa fans must tailgate in different areas than I do.

So if we had racial or discriminatory stuff going on, has that been the norm? Don't know what this was nor does anyone else, but if it is something like that does it not rise above just a bothersome problem? I can tell you what I would do if I heard an Iowa fan stating that crap, they'd be told to STFU or get out.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on par with a thing I did to our marching band went I to ISU. Sorry if you were in marching band circa 2003-2004...

I have a cousin that's in the Iowa band. I probably won't see him for a while, but I'll have to ask him about this when I do.

He who is without sin, cast the first stone. So, Gary Barta (or Quinn Douglas), your precious Hawkeye fans are unblemished & have never done anything which deserved a major apology from the U of I? What dream world are you living in?! Now, I am NOT condoning what fans may have done - my issue is how this is presented. Rather than publish this via Twitter - why not make this a "between-ADs" thing? By doing this on Twitter it sends the message that all of Iowa State is at fault & "we want all of twitterverse to know how bad they are." If it is kept secret between ADs, then JP can announce that there were instances of bad behavior by Iowa State fans toward the Iowa Band and that the University does not condone that type of behavior. THAT is how you handle the situation. If this constant "blaming ISU for always being a 'bad' host" continues, I am fine with NOT extending the contract to play them - at least not until they have better leadership under TOE.

This move is a totally lame and classless - I'd expect leadership to be more professional. If a co-worker of mine was ever accused of wrong-doing, my boss would NOT be on Twitter announcing to everyone how bad that person was. He would go to the source & get it rectified (if possible). He would not send his "letter of reprimand" out to the world (community) and then to the accused thereafter. He wouldn't even post the letter AFTER he sent it to the accused. You know why? Because he is a great leader & has common sense. So glad we have JP and NOT Barta or the majority of their fanbase & boosters.
