Gameplan for Late Night Kick

How are you planning to handle the 9:15 kick?

  • Pre-game/afternoon nap

  • Liquor up

  • Coffee (or similar beverage)

  • Screw all of you, I'm going to the game

  • Gametime decision, might not make it to the end

  • Other (note below)

@LeaningCy already gave the correct answer:

I'm looking forward to hunkering down in the basement for this and watching with no distractions from the family (which means I'll probably fall asleep before the end of the first quarter with a half-drank pour of whiskey and wake up to a very loud infomercial at 4am before dragging myself to bed)

Will be at the game. I foresee a lot of coffee in the leadup.

I know the no-alcohol policy, but wonder if they'll sell coffee at the stadium? Thought caffeine was a no-no too

Ouch, Eastern Time Zone 10:15pm start! I will stay awake but a nap earlier might make it easier.

I am usually up pretty late, fall asleep, and then have to go let the dog out to pee at 1:30 am. Will probably just amount to still being awake when he goes out to pee. Figure there is no chance we go up big and I nod off with it on.

I live in Arizona and our company was founded in Salt Lake, and we have an office there. There are 4 of us who work here who are Cyclones, and a handful of BYU fans (a bunch of Ute fans too). We are all going to the game. We have field passes because one of the BYU fans brother in law is on the BYU coaching staff. We have been planning this trip for over a year, and there has been some good fun jabbing around the office. With the additions of Utah, ASU, and Arizona I will get to have a lot of fun in the upcoming years.

Working a 530-1730 shift Saturday. So it's going to be tough to stay awake past midnight but I can always finish watching in the morning.
Are you a veteran?? I use military 24 hour all the time and it p*sses off my family and friends.

I'll stay up until 9:15, watch the first drive and, like all games, make an irrational determination about the outcome of the game based on the first drive and go from there.

Watch until I get bored/tired, then refill my energy by laughing at game day thread whiners, coast to the end of the game.

well for me it's a 10:15 kick so that's even more fun. guess it'll be practice for the 1am las vegas gp next weekend...

but for real it'll be a little surreal watching isu football play at 1am, I dont think I'll have a problem staying up

I'll break out my vintage 2010 bottle aged four loko, should keep me up

I'm with the other east coast posters. A 10:15 PM start is going to be a late night. I'm actually more worried about keeping the wife and pets awake if I'm cheering or complaining at the TV than I am me staying awake.

I work till 4 Saturday, however I have bought a new bag of Black Rifle Coffee, as well as a bottle of iowish creme. I will make it through the game, however, Sunday morning could be difficult

Sit in my chair, grab the remote, Turn on the TV, select ESPN, tell everyone to shut the F up and watch the game,{ have a can of chew and cup of coffee handy} (latter day no no) but Thats the gameplan, while the plans may be a hair off those are the margins in plan to stay within

I'm typically a 12-1 bedtime guy anyway. Hoping for a drubbing by us to cut back on my drinking during the game though. Usually start early Saturdays and only drink 3-4 more after 9pm but that could turn to 7-8 if we suck.
