Looking for advice for Wednesday night's game (12/30). Wife and I will be in Ames. Where are the best places to watch the BB game, other than at Hilton?

You will be cold and lonely watching that game in Jack Trice. Maybe they'll show it on the video board just for you.

I've come to the realization that there is not a great sports bar in Ames these days. Brick city is good but kinda small. Same with wallabys bar side. I usually just decide that day and make sure I'm early enough to get a good spot. Students out of town means Welch Ave station would be good if campustown interests you

Oops. My mistake. Should be under the Basketball Forum. Thanks for the correction. (Now, do you have any suggestions?)

Tickets should be cheap, there won't be great attendance.

Students are gone but I'm guessing 12,000+ for attendance. I'm guessing he might be able to get a couple of balconies for 20/ticket if he waits till close to game time. My question is if your in Ames why not go to the game. But to answer the OP's question Brick City is good food and reasonably priced.

There will be plenty of people dumping tickets as they walk in. You might even get tickets handed to you. Heck, there may be people on this site transferring tickets for free on Wednesday afternoon.

I agree, I get you can get some seats for $10 each.
