Game Thoughts: UNI

Rewatched this morning, LT is going to be a problem.
Neil looks more like a guard. On one play, the DL ran right past him like he was standing still. Looked like he was lined up too far outside also. Likely our LT and the OL in general, was having some difficulties with the UNI DL speed? Are we too heavy, especially against UNI?

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the O-Lineman who are under #300 in thereI. If a huge OL can't get a consistent push, maybe get some guys in there who might be a bit lighter and a touch quicker? I get that the starters and immediate 2 deep players need game reps.

Field temp was 110 according to the broadcast…

I feel like everybody on the field (other than Farley) just wanted that second half to be over as fast as possible.

I felt the offensive line pass blocked okay, but there really wasn't any room for our running backs, most of what the backs did, they did it on their own. If we can't have any success running the ball and Iowa makes us one dimensional, it is going to be a tough day for the offense. Of course that doesn't mean we lose the game, our defense could do the same to them.
That is what UNI does every game. Even Breece had crappy stats against UNai.

Playing a whole bunch of games up front is a staple of UNI defense. I wouldn't read too much into not being able to run against that. Everybody struggles.
