Game day weather forecast

The 2018 home opener (SDSU) was absolutely disgusting weather prior to that storm system piling up. It was like 96 with really high humidity.

84 sounds about spot on. Last year's UNI game really snuck up on me when the predicted high was like 75 and I wore jeans and a long sleeve T. I got really hot in the stands. On Saturday it's t shirt and shorts.
A high of 75 is jeans and long sleeved t-shirt weather? For an afternoon kickoff?

It had been in the 90's for a month leading up to that. Seemed cool in my mind, and it was easily the most uncomfortable I've ever been in Jack Trice.

I went to the Iowa game (105 in the stadium or something crazy like that) the next week and was much more comfortable because I was ready for it.

I remember being pretty damned hot at that first Iowa OT win. I was absolutely cooking in that midday sun and then...great...we are going to multiple overtimes. At least we won that one.

They may look a little dorky, but I have some of those zip off khakis that I can wear for a long day of tailgating and game. I can have the pant legs on in the early morning, zip off the legs for the heat of the day, and put them back on as necessary for post game frivolity. I'm too old to put fashion before comfort.

I'm just going to wear shorts. Even if it's mildly uncomfortable first thing in the morning, it will pass quickly.

I'd like to point out that Iowa State is undefeated in games where streakers run on the field. So if it gets really hot, there's another option available.

I’d take the Kansas weather over the uni weather 10 times out of 10.

Both are pretty miserable in their own ways. I don't mind cold either, at least you can dress for it, but that tailgate in G7 in the dark and snow might as well have been in Siberia.

it seems like over the past few years, September has turned into a monsoon season. Hopefully that is not the case this year. Rainy Septembers have a negative affect on my job as well (I work in agriculture).

Whichever UNI game where it was hot as balls, and then ISU lost as well - think that was 2013. That was the worst. Went with some friends (including one UNI grad) and it was miserable physically and emotionally. We alternated a beer, and a bottle of water tailgating all day. We didn't die, anyway.

We were going to go out and paint the town, but we got back to the hotel and everyone was already shot from the heat, so we just turned in.

Double checked - this was 2013. And it WAS the same season as the Kansas frostbite game.

We were glad to have the bus to tailgate in for that day. We cracked a window and had a space heater going. Probably lucky to not die of asphyxiation...

If VeloClone can't go, Pope, you are heretofore nominated. We expect you to do your duty.

:D
Edit: Might want to save it for the Iowa game. Does the rule apply at Kinnick?

That one was really hot. UNI 2015, I think, was also really hot. I think the hottest game at JTS may have been Oklahoma in 2016 or 2018. Can't remember which one.
2018 was there the hottest clone game I have been at
