Game called off in IC

Iowa just flipped into end zone and broke
their ankle. Is Kirk cryin?

Cancelling ui and iu games to protect the only other teams with winning records. This is more gaming the system to try to place them both in Ny6 bowls. Meanwhile, 10 ranked, non-b10 teams will be playing in conference ‘ship games, with 4 to fall. To say nothing of other ranked teams playing this weekend: A&M, etc. b10 is devious AF.

I am not terribly familiar with any other conference rules but the B1G has protocols where players have to be out for 21 days with a positive test. That is more than any other conference, I believe.
Jade was is your fil such a *****? Why is he terrified of another team?

Iowa fans want to play someone Saturday

Iowa players want to play someone Saturday

Kirk Ferentz thinks it's not fair to the sport to play Saturday

My source said the Big Ten would have let them find a new opponent with the regular season over too

@CyHawk1605 @Rebel are you two really on team Kirk here?

Let's say you are right in everything above.

Why should Iowa lose a home game and go to Athens on short notice during finals week?

Does make sense. Georgia has nothing to lose. They can only help themselves. Iowa is not getting a NY6 game without doing something like this so it is confusing.
This is not confusing to anyone outside of Iowa City. I still can't comprehend why Kirk is scared to play this weekend when his players want to and it only benefits them

It would benefit me to laugh my ass off watching highlights of them getting shitstomped

Kirk doesn’t do well with the unknowns and a week to prep. He is a guy who always buys vanilla at an ice cream shop. Besides it being white, he is concerned about the change in flavors.

Kirk is not scared to play them. Kirk doesn’t want to play them because for Iowa’s scheme to work, they need as much preparation as possible. Iowa isn’t like BYU and Coastal where they can easily adapt on the fly. Would I have wanted to? I think it would be interesting. My only thing would be that Georgia needs to come here. I also understand what Kirk is talking about. And the Big 10 would not allow Iowa to play an OOC game. We all know that.

What the hell does this mean? BYU and Coastal are better coached?

Wasn’t the OOC thing to prevent Covid situations? Not an issue at this point.

Agree, I don’t understand why kirks scheme needs longer. He is a basic scheme and not much changes, consistentcy all the way around is his thing. At this point it should be his advantage.

They’re schemes make it easier to adapt. Anyone that knows anything about Iowa football knows that preparation is key for KF and the team to win.
So Kirk needs more time to prepare for games than every other coach in the country?

Kirks theory is done less things but do them very well. It should take less prep time than other teams who change their sets and plays up to fit other teams. Kirk does what Kirk does. There is not a lot of variance there.
