This will be our first year in lot G7 and any information I can get from all of you would be helpful.

First off, we have a tailgating rig that COULD be classified as an RV but really it is just a POS over-sized van...Anyone know if they will allow (see picture) our rig into the lot or are they going to ban us from coming in, due to the size? I wasn't sure of the rules regarding RV's and motor-homes in G7.

Second, will workers be policing us into our parking spot (i.e. student lot)? We should be there early enough that a don't forsee a problem but I thought I'd ask.

Third, I know the gate to the student lot opens 6 hours before kickoff, is this the same with G7? Or, for example, if kickoff is at 6pm would I be able to get into the lot around 10am?

I had more questions and I'm sure I'll think of them later but please feel free to share any information about G7 that would come in handy (besides, bringing plenty of beer ).

Thanks,

should be ok. point out it is a van and not a bus. they wave you to where to park. There are a few short buses that get in and go back to the golf course fence. same opening time.

Another question for the G7 folks, how is the parking there if you show up 3 hours before kick off as opposed to 6 hours?

1) That vehicle will be fine. Looks like a van's wheelbase.

2) They do not police parking spots very much. Big reason I moved over there. They might try to direct you into a particular spot, but just say you want to park with some friends, and they'll let you spread out. Nothing like the Grass Nazis.

3) With the exception of weekday games (Thursday games in the past, OSU this year) G7 (and all donor lots) open at 7AM or 6hrs prior to kick off, which ever is EARLIEST. That means if it's a 6PM kick, you can be in the lot at 7AM and tailgate for 11 hours. For an 11AM kick off, the lot opens at 5AM. Also, you never have to wait in line much, because it isn't first come first serve. If you have a pass, you're guaranteed a spot.

Welcome to G7. It's a lot of fun. Mostly the "young alumni" crowd, so it's still pretty rowdy and a lot like the student lots. However, you get a lot more flexibility in your arrival time and parking situation. No more getting the rig in line at 5PM the day before a game to fight for a spot. Plus, for night games, when people are sitting along side S 16th, you get to be tailgating already.

I never get why people buy season tickets at full price and keep parking in the student lot, other than an attempt to try think they're still 20 years old. I had to kind of fight some of my buddies to start parking in G7, but the minute they did they never wanted to go back to the public lots.

Good summation. I'm mizouse87 and I approve this post!

I really hope Al_4_State is correct on this! 11 hours of tailgating, yes please!

Quoting the back side of my G7 pass:

"Donor lots for the Friday, November 18th Oklahoma State game will open at 2:00 PM. The donor lots for all other home games will open at 7:00 AM or 6 hours prior to kick-off, whichever is earlier".

You would...

Except for this part, of course.

Can't wait to drop by Mizouse's tailgate next Saturday and try some of his heralded Metamucil and Vodkas!!!!!!

I'll take my tasty metavodkas over hanging on to any semblance of youth I ever had any day of the week, especially Saturdays.

I'm proud that you all at least ponied up and purchased a G7 pass though. For that, I'll will give you one of my metavodkas for free!

I've been wanting a G7 pass, but my friend purchases the tickets and never gets one. Anybody selling one?

Aww GC, you'd be a welcomed addition to the best tailgate lot in all the land. Good luck in your quest to find one though. I hear they are pretty sparse this year.

The irony of course is that with my "under 30" discount, by donating, buying season tickets and parking pass, I actually spend less money than if I bought full price tickets and parked in the student lot every game.

3 games in the public lot = $60.

6 games in G7 = $50.
