Wow is it Friday yet? This week is dragging.
Hopefully the next 28 hours go fast.

Listening to the media conferences today and I started wondering if we could see a home and home with UCONN in the future?

I just found out this week that Ollie and Fred played together. Ollie said they first met in high school when they were both on a recruiting trip to Arizona and then Fred signed Ollie to a 1 year deal with the T-Wolves.

Fred has talked about their friendship before. They met on that recruiting trip and have been friends every since. I wouldn't bet against it happening sometime down the road.

Really just a game in Ames, they get their home game tommorow.

i would rather play nebrasketball in the non-con every other year

I would be up for this next year, with a road/neutral game in Omaha at the Century Link Center. Follow that up with a game at Hilton in the 15/16 season. Omaha is the host to the 1st and 2nd round games next March, and if we are a top 4 seed next year, it will be where we play opening rounds.

Why should we ever play them after ... Broken Cy-Arm Gate? Scummy fans.

I really hate crap like this. A handful of drunk fans does not an entire fan base make. Imagine if people judged all ISU fans solely on the racist ****s on twitter after KU last year. That's exactly what you're doing here.

At least the tournament starts back up tonight so the next 24 should fly by (hopefully). I wouldn't be opposed to playing them during the regular season. Contrary to what other posters say, I think they're a quality basketball school. Plus it'll make their record that much more impressive when the clones start 14-0 again next year.

No offense, but if you look at UConn's scheduling of home and home's, UConn doesn't really have a place for a school like Iowa State. UConn has home and home's with elite schools, branded power schools, and usually a west coast school every other year.

Call it hubris, but Iowa State fits none of those categories. Now, maybe in a neutral court tournament setting they might meet, but otherwise UConn won't schedule you.

What about a neutral-neutral situation? Play at Wells Fargo one year, in MSG the next year.

I agree that it's much more likely ISU and UConn will see each other in an early season tournament than to have a home-and-home matchup.

Trolling: you're doing it right.

Honestly I don't think UCONN fans will take ISU seriously until we win a national championship or two.

Even if their conference quality goes to hell over the next few years they will always consider themselves elite and they have the history to back it up.

Translation: They fear Hilton Magic.
