Funny Funny Funny.

After watching a few of the Beauty & the Geeks with the gf, I actually enjoy watching that. I've seen the past couple seasons and am excited to watch this one.

Now a few other shows like Sex in the City and the most pointless and worthless show ever...The Hills...I just can't do it. I've tried but just can't do it.

Sex and the City was one of the greatest shows ever. I loved Carrie and her struggles to find the "right" guy. I was so happy when she finally chose big.

It is worth the extra $$ to get the wife her own LCD in the bedroom and a tivo for that. Or just do that and you can escape! It is all about priorities.

Good Point. However The extra money that we would have went to upgrading my seating at football/basketball games this year.

My girlfriend is pretty good about trying to get into new shows. I've gotten her to like "Battlestar Galactica" and "Dr. Who," she even watches "Star Trek" every now and again!

Of course, I don't have to trade her for football games because I don't have much time to watch much TV on Saturday anyway due to Marching Band.

After you marry, you find out what they really like and will allow and will need.

It is like BC (Before Cids) and AD time (After Dogs).

and this thread has now hit a new all-time low. Funny, but ouch. I just made sure that my late night at work was the Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty and some other show night, plan accordingly. 2 TV's a must with an "office" with the other TV so you aren't leaving her for nothing (aka the Tulsa/Akron football game)

That is why we have 4 tv's all with Tivo's in the house. Last year I set up my own area in the basement where I can watch 24, the unit, office, family guy. No nagging from the better half. Sure it is a not as nice as the 60" HD, it is only a 50" plasma, but at least it is quiet

You guys are horrible. I'm glad the Mr. and I get along pretty well when it comes to watching tv and picking our shows out. The Mr. just set up the Tivo the other night to record all of the shows for this season. I put up with all day football on Saturday (if we are home), all day football on Sunday (thanks to the gods that made NFL Sunday Ticket) and Monday night football.

Some wives actually enjoy watching football. :jiggy::jiggy::tongue:

Mrs.

For the record and for all of you guys who don't understand Saturday football trade offs. it works like this. The wife likes football. She can't however sit and watch from 9:00 a.m. gameday until USC beats someone down around 10:00 p.m. So I get to watch my sports and I have to give her some stuff. Big Brother, Beauty and the Geek and so on. Normally I get into the program she is watching. The key is to act like you hate it. That way she can't count that program as one we like to watch together.

I guess I don't get why she can't go watch something else or go out shopping and do her own thing why you watch football and vice versa. I mean do you guys have to watch everything together or what?

Dude you sound like you have a strong arguement. Until every guy in the world reads your statement and realize that you gave up the 60 inch HD. You never give up the 60.

Because we have 2 kids. Someone has to watch them and she will argue it's not fair.

One of my wife's favorite shows is "Girls Next Door" on E! She doesn't have to twist my arm very hard to get me to watch that.

Guess I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend that loves Family Guy, South Park, The Office, etc. I've been making progress getting her into LOST, by at least getting her to sit down and watch the DVDs. The only thing she hates watching is football, but that's easily forgiven.

girlfriend

Girlfriends like everything. It's when they become a wives that Ultimate fighting no longer is any fun. That maybe we should watch something different. That Family Guy becomes childish. Oh sure she loves everything you watch RIGHT NOW. Just wait my friend. Just wait.

True dat. My wife used to at least be able to sit through an hour of Simpsons but now I can't watch 10 minutes without being in trouble. I'd say I'm extremely lucky though because she likes football.

I should not say anything. My wife is more addicted to Lost than I am. She loves 24, office, earl, the monday CBS shows, pretty much everything I love. Except I had to watch sopranos on my own, she did not really get into that one. I do have her watching Friday Night Lights now, btw, if you guys have not watched that, awesome show, it is out on DVD now for $20 at target.
