Ernst was a great dude. Was in speech class with him and we got partnered for doing a group presentation. Our topic was how we could improve CyRide. Our opening line as an attention-getter was him going:

“y’all ever get that sick feeling when you get on the bus and you know your fat black ass ain’t gonna fit in the tiny little seat? well probably not because you guys are all white and skinny, but let me tell you about it”

Everyone in the class was rolling, including the professor.

On another subject, I had a business class with Brian Peavy as well. Guy never said a word the entire semester until one day the professor decided he should participate and ask him a question.

I can’t remember Brian’s answer, but it was actually a pretty good answer to whatever was being asked.

I was also briefly in a group project with Assalley until I had to flip groups. I did not realize who he was until the end of the semester. Guy could’ve fooled me. Nice guy, definitely pretty quiet though.
