Was it Kurt Hammerschmidt? Maybe not. I think he only had like 20 catches in his whole career. But he fits the profile.
Sorry, I think Klein was better, as did Big 12 coaches.
Bundrage 97 yard catch and run against Texas was epic. Money had some really good games too.
Ernst was a great dude. Was in speech class with him and we got partnered for doing a group presentation. Our topic was how we could improve CyRide. Our opening line as an attention-getter was him going:
“y’all ever get that sick feeling when you get on the bus and you know your fat black ass ain’t gonna fit in the tiny little seat? well probably not because you guys are all white and skinny, but let me tell you about it”
Everyone in the class was rolling, including the professor.
These are all names I haven't thought of in forever, fun trip down memory lane despite the crappy teams
I loved Bundrage. Wish he could've played on some better teams.
Man, all Franklin did was hold pretty much every TE record at ISU until Kolar came along.

I just remember Knott making all the flashy plays and getting all the tackles. Then the noticeable drop off when he had to miss games and Jevohn Miller filled in.
Honorable mention for Josh Lenz. The team could use a move-the-sticks WR next year without Hutchinson

I think I'd value Josh Lenz higher than either of those two guys
He seems like a duplication of Jaylin Noel's skill set. Those guys were bigger outside targets. I'm thinking of someone that can (kind of) give us what X and to a lesser (but still important) extent Pettway gave us.
