I don't think you can say that Nick choked. It sounded like he wrestled the match that he planned to wrestle. Ironside was very complimentary of their plan. He just didn't get the escape and felt like he had to cut Slaton. Slaton is a bull, so it was not a surprise once they got to the down positions in OT.

That stinks. That could have been huge since it was against Iowa... it would have been like 2 wins. It's now a bigger hill to climb.

From this point forward it just appears like Iowa wrestlers have better match-ups. I think quickly Iowa could pull away unless ISU gets some upsets and Iowa falters. Iowa's style is more of a "go get it" style and with them being in the lead they are probably just gaining momentum.

That's what you get when you wrestle defensively. Exactly what I expected to happen. I don't think Nick can beat him quite honestly.
