Fred in Chicago

The money had to be a big part of it. With his health the way it was, taking a big payday assures that you can walk away any time you wanted to without any concern about money. He was making good money at ISU, but it wasn't ever retire any time without a drop in lifestyle type of money.

I don't really think this is the case at all. Fred had made millions after years as an NBA player, and more years in the NBA front office. He was making 7 figures in Ames as well. He was set for life before he left for the Bulls.

Maybe... but that turned out to be a crappy decision because how much fun is it really to be a loser coach for a loser team? I can’t believe that he comes home every night and is thinking I love coaching and loosing in the NBA.

Eh, it's the NBA. You can make a career out of getting fired and coaching bad teams for millions of dollars.

Where do I sign up for that?

The Bulls need to fire Gar and Paxon. They have no clue as to what they are doing. Fred should come work under Jamie Pollard.

Are people going to the games? Is the organization making money?

Pretty sure that's about all these types of sleeze balls care about.

I don’t doubt that you’d be fine with that. But I do doubt that that’s how Hoiberg is looking at it.

Lol at people who think the owners don't know what they're doing. Their #1 goal is to make as much money as possible. Winning is a pleasant bonus to making money.

Has Jsb shown up yet?

Good win for montes team tonight. They held on to beat a bad team despite not playing well. As always, it is good to see a franchise I’ve hated for 30 years lose. ;)

Millsap got away with a pretty blatant offensive foul to win it.

They would be making a **** ton more money if they were winning and competing for championships, or at the very least a chance to win the east most years. I would think the goal would be to make more money, no?

Reinsdorf owns two sports teams, is 82 and just collects revenue sharing checks I feel like.

It’s just fine if you give it a chance. People from Iowa are much more emotional about NFL and MLB teams than they are the NBA. You’re not alone.

Not sure why I've always been the opposite. I'm totally fine just watching college football and I don't enjoy random NFL more than random college, probably less. I like college basketball but even the best teams really suck compared to the pros, the horrible shooting in college basketball and the officiating are just unwatchable a lot of the time. College basketball might as well be called "Cyclone basketball" for me other than cheering for upsets the first two days of the big dance.

I always like when fans call for coaches heads. Like when the Browns fans called for their coach to be fired. The Bulls fans and so on. Ummm It's the GM that put a bunch of scrubs together. How is anyone supposed to coach that talent. I would get it if Fred was coaching the Lakers and Bron was playing.
