This is a good portion of the reason I like advanced statistics over "the eye test."

The computers don't care about your race or ethnicity -- only your production.

You never hear the eye test making comparisons across races, for some reason... e.g., every White kid from the Midwest is "scrappy," never the next Monte Morris or Melvin Ejim, even though both of those guys took relatively limited athleticism and size and worked themselves into greatness.
