For those at the Jack

Who’s playing LT and Star? (Cyclones.com listed JGJ and Ruth, and no commentary so far.

They only played like 5 plays on D, but it was a 3-3-5 with 3 safeties (White, Eisworth and Lewis). I’d guess that means Braxton Lewis was playing the Star, but I’m not sure.

I brought my boys to their first football game and the atmosphere was perfect until the rain obviously! My only complaint was that because cell service was none existent, there was no communication as to the actual weather. Should we walk 2 miles to our car now or wait it out first. Can they put radar up on the big screen? That would have been very helpful to us!

The radar was on the screen for 2 hours and 15 minutes of a 2 hour and 30 minute delay.

What big screen were you looking at?

Yes, but it seemed to be the same exact loop for like 45 minutes at a time. They didn't update it very often. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out why they could't show other games on the jumbotron during a weather delay. Or at least highlights like they normally do during timeouts. Or put up a replay of one of last years games. Anything other than continuously showing the weather delay posting for 2.5 hours straight.

The south one, apparently. Somebody should have told him to turn around.

By the way, is the JT area the largest Verizon dead zone in the state?

It’s gotta be. I have at&t, which means there’s about a 50% chance I can send and receive stuff. Is it even worse for Verizon?

Don't worry, USCellular barely works, too.

My USCellular was working way better than Verizon. Hubby could not get anything on data on Verizon until about 9:45pm when most people cleared out. I had few issues with US Cellular. Thankfully his texts were going through because he was in Sukup all night and we were on the west side so we could at least communicate important information like how Sukup now serves Clone Cones and that Fred was there.

The complaints about cell coverage...
We have Verizon. Last year spouse could connect about 75% of the time, me almost never. Yesterday I was able to text, post videos, and browse the entire time, while he got nada. It's really hit & miss.

It was updating the usual, I think every ten minutes. The storms were just popping up in the same spot just west of Des Moines so it seemed like they weren't updating.

I wouldn't be surprised I couldn't text or use data around the stadium. Luckily I was able to call. US cellular puts up towers around JT, idk why Verizon doesn't do the same.
