Football Tryouts

It was supposed to be today- unlikely we hear anything from the AD until tomorrow. They might have some info on the news tonight, but this is something I could see no one having useful info on yet, unless they have talked to CPR.
I was told by someone who went through walk on tryouts years ago that if you survive the tryouts standing you make the team...
Cameron Lee made the basketball team this way. Doing that is ten times as hard as making the football team.
A teammate from high school tried to walk on back when Mac was coach, he pretty much said that they made him cry it was so tough. He didnt make it.
But have another friend that did make it, but quit after a few months due to the time it takes for everything.
I have this recurring dream about trying out as a walk-on for ISU MBB under Johnny Orr. The dream always ends before I find out if I made the team.
Walk on tryouts for baseball were pretty short and sweet. The only ones that really had a chance were pitchers and catchers. A pitcher had to hit 85 or be lefthanded and hit 80ish and a catcher basically had to be able to catch the ball to be a bullpen catcher...
I agree. When I walked on it was 10 100 yard sprints, you had a certain time depending on your position group and if you made them all under your time you were on the team.
And that was it? No hitting, tackling or drills? I hope that wasn't all you had to do to make the team as that provides little evidence of one's ability to play football.
