Silent commit would essentially just be holding his spot. For example, lets say the staff is recruiting 3 WRs that they see as even on their board but only has room for one in the class. The staff makes this known to all 3 that its first to commit type deal for that spot. One of those players may then tell the staff that they are committing so that they get that WR spot, but ask that the staff allows them to announce on their planned date.

that prediction is from a Louisville guy back on December 1st. He may well commit to Lou but that prediction doesn't hold much water imo.
