Football Parking Selection

B1 and C1 are underrated. Ease of entry/exit offsets distance from the stadium gates.

Are you talking about that one entrance/exit off of/on to eastbound Lincoln Way? Were there more put in with the expansion of B1?

Haven't parked up there since it was a substitute for rained out G7 so don't remember.

Did you get the same space as last year? I was hoping they wouldn't be shuffling it all every year. We liked our spot.

We moved to 924/926 on the west end of the 900 row. We wanted to be more "in the action" rather than "away on our own." Both have their benefits, but we have always wanted our tailgate to be an intersection, not just a destination. People who just stop by are some of the best parts of tailgating.

Yep. Never encountered a line on the way in or way out.
Is that the only way in or out for football? Or can you also enter from the west like during basketball? We always use the west entrance for BB to enter and exit.

You took the middle of vet med and the furthest part of C1 to compare.
I tried to take middle of B1/C1 for ease of drawing a comparison as I wasn't going to do it for all lots. Do they use lot 96 (reference from google map label) for vet med parking? I actually tried to take the back of the vet med lot but with no frame of reference to what is actually used over there, I was flying blind.

I don't know all the lots out at vet med, I just know that when I parked out there when G7 was closed a couple times, I went past the large section you showed and was like two smaller sections in. That was a very long haul.

Gotcha. I am looking at these things for my parents. This is the first year I'm getting a parking pass for them and unfortunately will be either in B1 or Vet Med. So I've been just guessing on where the parking actually is in those areas. I based my thinking i was near the back of Vet med by the shape of the parking they used on the website for picking the parking passes. But personal experience trumps a vague shape online.

What is the arrival/departure situation for Vet med? Easy to get in and out? Is it easier in B1?

If it makes a difference, from B1 you can stop in the Alumni Center, so it's not one continuous walk with no place to rest. And no street (with vehicular traffic) to cross.

Edit to say I've never parked and walked from Vet Med, although I have walked from the lot by the physical plant years ago.

This is underrated because using the bathrooms there is elite.

That's good stuff. My parents have walked from the power plant for years and they liked the ease of in and out from there but their aging bodies can't handle that long of a walk anymore. Also, the Alumni Center with the bathroom FTW.
