Football Fan Map

I'm a 33 year employee of ISU. They have a connection to the university. Keep trying. You're only getting dumber.

Take it up with Clone fans. They set the criteria to be considered a "real fan" and you have to have a degree from the institution to be considered a fan. Tell your Tavern Clone relatives they are out of luck.

Nope - you need a connection. Something more than living in the same state, but no one in your family has ever set foot on campus, as a student, an employee, whatever. That (to me) defines "tavern hawk". Keep digging, sugar. You may find gold in your back yard someday...

If you're a UNI, Drake, Upper Iowa, Grand View, Simpson, Coe, Central, Dubuque, Wartburg, Loras, Buena Vista, DMACC, IWCC, ICCC graduate, somehow your an automatic die-hard Iowa fan too.

Hey watch what your saying! My Simpson niece is still a big ISU fan, nice thing is colors are interchangeable (supposedly not but close enough to get by;))

The question doesnt make sense because Iowa isnt practicing in WDM this year.

Whatever you have to do to avoid answering the question. The football team has practiced at Valley the last several years after Iowa State's presence in Central Iowa has picked up.

Again, take it up with your Clone buddies. They set the standards on this and have made it perfectly clear you have to be an alum of the school you cheer for to be a real fan.

I'd add that at least to me there's also an attitude component; tavern hoks are ********. Like you said, they have no connection to the university other than watching the games on tv and probably can't even spell the word "university," but still cheer for Iowa and thinks that makes them better than you. They're the ones who yell "go hawks" every time you have the audacity to wear Iowa State gear, always talk trash, and look down on you for going to a "cow college" while sporting their ANF ****.

I have a friend who cheers for Iowa, but didn't go there. I don't consider him a tavern hok because he doesn't have that attitude.

What's a Tavern Clone?

I'd rather take it up with you. I know what a tavern hawk is. I don't think you know what a Cyclone fan is.

I'm not even sure there is data to support this map. Just someone's opinion and a box of crayons. Whar Clemson?
