Because 95% of Hok fans didn't go to the university so they're all over.
If Kansas has that many more football fans than K-State, I'll light my hair on fire.
...and? There are a lot of schools with a lot more "clout" thank ISU that have about the same map size as we do. There are a lot of sheep out there just following the front runner teams in their state or region just because their neighbors do.
Whoa. Iowa has a larger fan base than ISU. Didn't see that one coming.
I wonder what the basketball map would look like? 60% ISU 30% UNI 10% Iowa maybe?

Surprised to see that much Iowa in Southern Minnesota, then again, it's probably Iowa natives who just live across the border, and you can see how ambivalent Minnesotans are about college sports.
Would like to see this updated for 2017. 2014 wasn't a very good for ISU football.
Also would like to see demographics. How much of that Iowa fandom is from poeple that were a live during the '80s and early '90s. Have to believe the younger fans are more split between the two schools.
