FINALLLY!!!!........... JT ROCK.........

The expectations are tied to a guy who couldn't hack it at ******* Iowa?
The kid transfered because his dad, who was a Doctor in Iowa City died, and he wanted a fresh start to be closer to home. This is a stupid take.

If you've watched Xavier the last couple years he's developed into one of the best posts in college bb also, not sure why we wouldn't want that from a freshman big.

Not wanting to derail this thread, but I was surprised that Nunge is still eligible. So I looked him up and he's having an outstanding year on what seems to be a really good team.
Good for him after all he's been through.

Nunge was ok at Iowa. He's been All-Conference at Xavier.

120+ offensive rating, great rebounder, efficent offensively, and even shoots over 40% from three on almost 3 attempts a game this year.
Having a real coach now and not stuck in an idiotic 14 man rotation scheme based on nepotism and not talent will do wonders for a player’s stat line

Hate Nunge all you want as an ex-Hawkeye.

But his life story is deserving of some sympathy. And he's been great for Xavier.

Yet another guy who transfers out of Iowa City and suddenly gets much better.

One of my favorite moments last season was him and Conditt going up and down the court chirping at each other play after play to the point I think they got a double-T called on them.

Exactly

True, but my point is that his skills weren’t optimized by the coaching and scheme at EIU
This is such a weird take through because Fran has been known to take guys that weren't highly recruited and gotten impressive results from them. Garza and both Murray's weren't highly touted at all and they are All-Americans

If look at their team this year they are probably one of the least talented in the Big 10 on paper but he still has them in the hunt for an NCAA invite.

You're also assuming Nunge wouldn't be doing as well this year if he was still at Iowa. He would be putting up huge numbers there also as he'd be the 2nd best player on the team, maybe even best.
