So, it all depends upon whether they sit out a year. MOST will be done by 24-25, but those with sit out redshirt/Medical year can go into 25-26. It basically wipes 20-21 off the board so any participation that year doesn't go against your four years.
I mean I actually kind of like it especially the way the transfer market goes now

You know what that’s always immediately followed by, right?

I know there were comments upthread about Matt Painter and Purdue offering him and he visited there - but watching a couple clips I thought "this guy is Ryan Kalkbrenner" - and he was offered and visited Creighton as well.

Great comp. Kalkbrenner was more like a top 125 recruit whereas JT is rated top 75. Here's the 247 evaluation on Kalkbrenner out of high school...

"Has NBA center length as a 7-footer. Possesses good mobility, good hands and feet. Not an explosive athlete and needs to gain strength and build up mass. Not a long-range shooter at this point, but has good shooting touch and shoots a high-free throw percentage. Offensive game is improving as strength and confidence improves. Greatest strength is shot blocking. Blocks shots at a high rate." - 247 Director of Scouting Jerry Meyer on Ryan Kalkbrenner

I'd say JT is a little more advanced offensively and is a better shooter than Kalkbrenner was at similar points. JT also needs to keep gaining strength though. He's got 1.5 years to improve on things before he even gets to Ames.

My impression was that JT reminds me of Brad Lohaus at the same age.

But then, I’m getting old.

7'1" eh? And prob. still growing. Who is the tallest to ever play for the 'clones?

I was thinking Kalkbrenner as well but I think a more apt comparison may be Steven Crowl at WI. Crowl was never a big prospect but 7 footer with range and passing ability from the top of the key. Kalkbrenner hangs down low more. Where Rock is likely better than Crowl is on shot-blocking. So I guess just split the difference and say he's somewhere between Kalkbrenner and Crowl.

Just so you know, the way they treat that "condition" is getting a big syringe with a needle on the end and jabbing the affected organ to pull some blood out of it and relieve the pressure.

My wife said 90% of the time the sight of the big needle is enough to make the eggplant wither.

Way ahead of you friend --

I think Williams will be a senior, next season.. We will need some vets in the transfer portal. 2023/24 is a YOUNG team to expect to compete in the the best basketball conference.
