Because they are among the unfortunate souls to draw ISU in their region.

And what's really getting old is all of the "experts" picking MSU over Iowa State. Do they realize they have to score more than 48 points to beat Iowa State?????
 
For huge international pools like ESPN, you could potentially separate yourself (or lose badly) by doing the following — we'll see if I have the gall to follow my own advice:
Syracuse
Villanova
Wisconsin
Wichita State
 
ISU
KU
Louisville
Wisconsin

ISU over Louisville because I seriously do not know how to disconnect my feelings about ISU from reality.
 
Bracket 1: Kansas, MSU, Okie St, Duke: Kansas Wins (Really counting on Embiid playing!)

Bracket 2: ISU, Florida, Arizona, Michigan: ISU Wins!!!!
 
I haven't filled out my official bracket (the one for the billion dollars) yet.

But I let the girlfriend fill out one of my brackets, giving her no information other than the team's nicknames. She has Ohio State, Iowa State, San Diego State and Michigan in the Final Four. Oh, and watch out for the Manhattan Jaspers.
 
Kansas, Iowa State, Arizona, Louisville. Kansas over Arizona in the Finals. Sweet revenge for '97.
