FIFA Women's World Cup 2015

wow big mistake by their keeper. I guess that's why shes the backup

Third string. Starter is out due to accumulated yellow cards (idiot move boy Colombia's coach in the game against England - Colombia pretty much advanced as 3rd place team regardless of the result against England, and he kept the keeper in when she already had 1 yellow card). Backup picks up a red - this is the 3rd stringer.

should beat China in the next round but they have to play better or they'll lose to Germany.

Really enjoyed this article, especially after being frustrated with our team so far this world cup. The frustration comes from knowing the individual talent is there to be dominate, but seeing that we are not, and I question our ability to beat a team like France or Germany. Not saying we can't, but we will need some luck and for that back 4 to be really strong.

Also much of what they say about the women's team applies to the men's team, just that we don't have the same athletes so we aren't as good as the great nations in men's soccer. Although I believe, the German has attempted to correct this in our men's training, whether it will end up working or not we will know in another couple of cycles.

I love the defense, but if they are struggling with scoring I'm confused why they don't experiment with a 4-3-3. Now would be the time to do it when you are thin at midfield anyway.

I don't recall China having one legitimate shot on goal that entire match. Solo got a gimme in the breadbasket from about 40 yards out, but they did a good job with China's limited set plays.

And yeah, really blew a chance in the second minute. I heard "What the hell was that?!" in Dolby surround sound at the bar where I was watching it.

Final Four teams in the WC are
USA vs Germany
and
England vs Japan

My picks are Germany and Japan in the final, I don't think England has a chance but I wouldn't be shocked if the US does beat Germany though.
