Ferentz bashes player causing him to transfer

Okie State getting into the CFP could be huge for us. Outside chance we'd have a shot at the Alamo again. Go Hawks!

Right. I was going to say an Iowa win and a Georgia blowout would be about the two best things that could happen to Iowa State and the Big 12 assuming Okie Lite takes care of business...

Plus, we'd get to watch Iowa get blown out in the Rose Bowl again.

Not true. He was being pushed by Labas (who might push for number 1 next season) as the third QB. The decision to leave was made before Kirk's corny joke. He does love Iowa City. His teammates loved him, but they also love Petras and the other QB's. . Great young man! CyTwins, your sources are incorrect.
Kirk just said Hogan was third string not Labas

I've said multiple times this week, if I was an Iowa fan, I'd head out and check Heat @ Pacers Friday night, then the B1G game Sat.
That would be a great weekend.

Actually it would be awesome because it means no big 10 team in the playoffs

I am all for it!!

tOSU could still sneak in if enough of Cincy, Ok St, Oregon, and Bama lose. Makes me puke, but I wouldn't be shocked in the least if it happened.

Okie State in the CFP, Baylor in the Sugar, OU in an NY6 as an at large, plus Utah beats Oregon = Alamo Bowl could be a rematch of last years Fiesta Bowl

KF is not perfect. But guess what? Matt Campbell isn't perfect either. CyTwins isn't perfect and I am not perfect. But, KF is a class act. He represents the state of Iowa well. He replaced Hayden and has kept Iowa relevant most seasons. He has definitely kept the state a "Hawkeye state." It is not easy to win at Iowa or Iowa State. He has helped develop so many walk-ons, 2 stars, and 3 stars into pros. A great majority of former players love him. Players like Wadley and DJK are bitter because they never made the NFL.

A "class act" doesn't act like he did during the Everson, Satterfield issue.

That is what he said. If your sources are as good as you say though, you know that Labas passed him and was taking the QB3 reps. I can't believe you are going to roll with that instead of utilizing the old inside sources card, it's not like you.

With your sources, you could have rolled with something like, "Kirk just lied again because my sources told me that Labas was actually the QB3."

Missed opportunity :)

Only getting to get worse the rest of the week. Don't know what will happen to this place or some of the posters if Iowa actually pulls off the huge upset.
Iowa winning pretty much ensures OkSt makes it to the playoff, so please win and ruin Harbaughs parade. I don't know how you can game-plan in a +5 TO margin, but whatever it takes Hawks.

Deuce would have started if Padilla or Petras went down. He was third string

I know the years we don’t have someon in the CFP, the big XII get a 4 MM cut per team 40MM total. Wasn’t sure if it went up, figured it didnt go down. The. Just quick lazy math.

Gotcha. Have no idea how any of that works. If that is the case, I doubt Iowa will be getting many calls Saturday night.

So after a little research, the CFP pays $6 million to the conference for each conference member. The other NY6 bowls pay $4 million to the conference. So if Michigan wins, Michigan gains the B1G $6 million, OSU and presumably MSU would each gain the B1G $4 million each for a total of $14 million. If Michigan loses, then most likely only Michigan and OSU get in NY6 bowls and the conference would gain $8 million. So a difference of $6 million if Michigan gets in.
