FWIW I was told he transferred because of this and was planning on winning the starting job next year. He was loved by his teammates and loved Iowa City

He does love Iowa City and is liked by most teammates and coaches. There are some of both that question his work ethic. I know nothing about his work ethic, but that is what I was told.
He first discussed the portal with some of "his guys" on the offesnive side of the ball after not getting the reps he thought he should the week after the Wisconsin game. No grand announcement but that is when the ball started rolling and it snowballed as he continued to not like the reps he was getting. That is from the mouth of one of those guys. The KF comment was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.
Not true. He was being pushed by Labas (who might push for number 1 next season) as the third QB. The decision to leave was made before Kirk's corny joke. He does love Iowa City. His teammates loved him, but they also love Petras and the other QB's. . Great young man! CyTwins, your sources are incorrect.
Again, you're the guy who thought Iowa could lose to Indiana while some of us thought Iowa could go to the Rose Bowl.
Why is this website obsessed with Iowa. I just joined and there is so much focus on Iowa. Why do we care about them?
