Fennelly Lands Commitment

Anything west of Des Moines I have no clue. Know Eastern Iowa like the back of my hand.

Legends was not a bar in town for very long, and I guess it sucked. Dance club type, brought in a lot of hooligans on fri and sat night. Lots of fights on the weekends. Seriously, they had a wet tshirt contest at the bar. If you've been to Exira, you would understand that this was just too much excitement for the locals.

Where the hell is that town in Iowa?

Exira is a very small town, but it's got some impressive connections to ISU. I believe it's the home town of Tom Thielen, retired VP for Student Affairs, and Chuck Frederickson, retired Director of University Housing. I think there's another former ISU administrator (former Director of the Alumni Association?) whose home town is Exira.

So you hate girls in wet t-shirts?

How about we focus less on rdubbs' bar hopping and more on the signing of Hallie...

Lyndsey Fennelly is reporting that Hallie Christopherson, a prospect out of Exira, Iowa has committed and will play basketball at Iowa State.

I've seen this young lady play. A TON of potential. Should be fun to watch her develop as a post player over the years.

gee, some of us have been talking about this since 7 am this morning in the other WBB threads. hmmm....a little late on the punch there.

Great get for coach F. She has a lot of skills.

C.John, Please ignore the rest of this post....

Is that the place that used to be a clubhouse out at the golf course? If so, back in the day it was called the HoolieHopper or something like that.

Folks would show up from all over the area. By the end of the night, it was almost gaurenteed that there would be a huge fight because some guy from town x would hit on some girl from town y. I don't know why it closed but I would be shocked if it wasn't for serving minors.

Her sister Britta is a thrower on the track team. At least I think they are sisters.

Yes they are Wesley.
