FB ticket prices

Adventureland was merely a comparison of options. And not one brought up by me initially, but one I recently utilized.

Here's another. My wife and I are about to leave for 2.5 hour movies (roughly the same time as your average football game) $19 for the two, versus the $200 that this season's tickets would cost per game, factoring in the donations. And I'll probably score the best seats in the house at the flick.

I'll let you know what I think of the movie when I get back. :skeptical:

I don't feel all that bad, however. After all, I'm a member of the select group that got tickets over the years that probably kept ISU football viable so that today's "Johnny come lately's" , who have decided to show after a small amount of success, can enjoy it. Call it a bit of pride.
Do you only go to the movies once a year?
Like you have said- to each his own. I would rather watch the movie for free (or nearly free) later...and spend the savings on live ISU events. Thank you for supporting ISU athletics in the darkest-of-dark days. Due to my age it is fair to call me Johnny. I will throw back that some old-timers yearn for the way it was...preferring the self-prominence that is achieved when buying cheap tickets and the darkness that goes with.

For me it is the atmosphere of the game itself. I don't have the Director's section seats or anything close to it. So I guess my cost is a lot less. It all adds up to a great time for me. Getting back to the OP, I don't think that ISU would benefit by dropping the price of hillside seats. The hillsides seem to be pretty full as it is.

For us tailgating and going to the game is about as family freindly of a outing as there is. We tailgate in the RV area with a large group where there are hundreds of kids running around playing football, bean bags etc and having a great time. There is plenty of drinking but rearely does anything get out of control. I have no problem with you not wanting to take your kids but the several thousand parents that bring there kids are not bad parents.(OK maybe a few are) Our kids have heard a few f-bombs over the years but I have heard that at places like Adventureland, the mall, State Fair etc.
