Time for some Google SketchUp!

Here's my model. I did include the Cyclone Storm Shelter doors at the end of a tunnel. Enjoy!

Looks great! if they bowled in the south hillside seats it would be perfect!

I still say that they'd be better off with a small bowl in the north endzone first. But the strides they've made in and around JTS in the last 10 years is amazing.

Fun topic , just talked to my friend who does wholesale heating and airconditioning for large projects and this subject came up . ISU has submitted the plans to get cost on the project . From what they told me today ,sounded like the parking lot on that side will be no more ? Love all the changes coming !

And they said it couldn't be done and keep the Hill.. my question is:
Did you do this work at home.. or did your boss approve this work cause its is really good and had to take some time and (me being a "boss" I would of let you do it), but I may be a little bias :)

I don't think the tunnel is going through the hill. I'm thinking the expense of trying to do that would be too much to justify for this project.

What other options are there, though? A skywalk would be more expensive. And you can't have players leaving the building, walking across a parking lot with tailgaters and through a bunch of people getting their tickets punched late to walk down to the field. You have to get the players to the field somehow.

Honestly, the best scenerio would have been to expand the Jake, but supposedly that can't be done. The second best scenerio would be to bulldoze the Olsen and build there. But it's cheaper to build new than to raze a building and build there...plus, the team wouldn't have a home for a year, which would make things difficult since they basically train year round. Eliminating those two options leaves us with 85W, which isn't a terrible thing because they wanted to be connected to the IPF anyway. The major concern about this location is getting players from the locker room to the field.

You're basing this off of a design that a CF poster sketched up. We have no idea if that is how/where the building is being built. I guess we'll see, but I would put money on the fact that there isn't going to be a tunnel through the hill and obviously it isn't going to be a cellar door opening. Don't take it so personally.

Actually we do know that it is being built in 85W and we do know it will be attached to Bergstrom. We have also been told that there will be a tunnel, how they are going to do this we don't know. How big the building is going to be, we don't know. We really don't know anything else at all. The rest is based off things seen or heard unofficially that could have been changed and speculation.
