I'm going to clean up the political posts. Please keep it on topic and not political.
The cave thread is a classic. There is a poster having an absolute meltdown over this. Dude still has Favre posters on his wall and is blowing up over people saying bad things about his hero.
It would be one thing if Favre didn't have any money. He is worth 110 million he could have put his hand in his own pocket to build his daughter a starting spot on Ole Miss volleyball.
Florida has very robust sunshine laws, so it is easy for journalists to research funny things (e.g., the Florida Man memes) or relatively low-grade fraud like this using only the public record.
Thus, the number of crazy stories you hear about coming from Florida is disproportionately high. I do not know if that actually means Florida is crazier than the rest of the South or the country.
Other states are much stingier with public disclosure of regulatory, police, and court proceedings.

Feels like welfare money is a pretty high necessity in Mississippi, based on their demographic data. It's pretty damned poor there (not that Favre cares about that, clearly).

Ok, I meant sometimes people fart when they sneeze. I can see how the wording didn't portray that correctly though.
Financially he didn't benefit but I wonder with all the college admission scandal, did he promise to fund facilities in exchange of his daughter admitted into the VB team?
