Why is it that some of the best players in sports leave the game after trying a failed comback or playing a year or more too long than they should? M&M had a whole segment on this once and I'm not sure anyone came up with a good name that was retired, came back and had a successful comeback. Had some names of players that did leave on top of their game though but none that left while on top and came back and still ended on top.
I have to think that this will end up with the Packers releasing him to anyone BUT an NFC North team.
If the NFL has any say in it I guarantee they will want him in the NFC North. That way we can get ESPN, Madden, etc, etc yammering on for days and weeks about Brett's big visit back to the frozen tundra.....
Just think if he ends up with the Vi-Queens. I think the Pack plays them to kick off the season.
Brett Favre is rapidly becoming the Roger Clemens of the NFL.
In Green Bay, Monday Night, and they're retiring Favre's number at halftime.
I am not a Packer fan, but this is unfair for them and the GM. Favre decided to retire, held his press conference, and thus the Packers concentrated on Rodgers. Didn't they also draft TWO QB's?
