Favorite underrated actors

Thomas Everett Scott. Liked him in That Thing You Do! and Dead Man on Campus (underrated in its own right) but his career never really took off after that like I thought it would.

He's a perfect example. I loved those two movies. He's done a lot of TV stuff since then and smaller movie roles.

I think he's due for a breakout role.

OK, here's a under the radar guy who you all know.

Pirate Steve.
Hoban Washburne.
Tucker McGee.

He seems to be starting his late career renaissance just recently, but specifically in voice acting. He's been in a bunch of Pixar films and was the voice of K2-SO in Rogue One.

And that exposure might just open up more acting roles as well.

I used to think Paul Giamoti but then it seemed like everything I saw him in, he became the spazzy band manager type.
You should have seen him in John Adams. Dude's got some serious chops.

In just that clip alone there a lot of candidates for this list, most of which have already been mentioned:

Paul Giamatti
David Morse
Tom Wilkinson
Stephen Dellane
Zeljko Ivanek

Female: Isla Fisher. Loved her in Wedding Crashers.

Male: Paul Rudd.

Side Note on Paul Rudd.. I was at the final tour date of Rush Clockwork Angels Tour in 2013 in KC at the Sprint Center. Paul walked out onstage (unannounced) and "conducted" the band during the song YYZ. The band loved it and so did the fans. Fun unexpected moment.

She was good in Tag. Not a great movie but she was good. She's good at playing a bit crazy...may not be acting.

Paul Rudd is the best. Everyone loves him right now, so he might not be so underrated anymore. More like perfectly rated as an awesome actor.

Keaton's career arc is fascinating. He was a huge actor and then disappeared for a while. Birdman was great and he's been killing it since then, mostly in supporting roles, but you can tell he's a fantastic actor.

I'm not sure I'd say Keaton has only thrived in supporting roles lately. He was the lead in Spotlight (and was absolutely brilliant), and he was great in The Founder (wasn't sure I would like that movie, but I loved it).

He was great in The Founder, played the egotistical entrepreneur always thinking about how he can make a buck off of an idea perfectly. Imo he kinda got overshadowed in Spotlight, I think that was also his role, though. And the fact that Ruffalo and McAdams knocked their roles out of the park doesn't help exactly haha. hell even Liev Schreibers role in that was great. I need to watch that movie again lol

He will always be known as Coach Taylor, but Kyle Chandler is pretty solid in most of his roles.

Michael Keaton's first film (and my favorite underrated comedy of all time):

I love it when he looks at Winkler's GF's pic and then says, "Nice frame."

Great movie! At least I remember it that way.
