favorite sports restaurant?

HP is so overrated. West Towne Pub in ames is growing on me, as well as Old Chicago and Wallabys. Legends is a good choice, but go during the day and check out the view.

I dunno... I like the food and it's pretty cheap for sit down at HP. But I'm not gonna lie, I love old chicago and wallabys as well. And I thought okaboji grill wasn't bad either.

mmmmm wallabys. I miss Ames. I should pack it all up and move back. Too bad my job at Davinci's wont still be there.

The best sports bar is The Other Place they have about five of them in Iowa and 2 down in KC. I love it because they support ISU, UNI, and Iowa and they sport them over Kansas, Missouri, and KSU down in KC. They have great pizza and TV's everywhere. Kelly's is also a great bar durning the Big 12's

Battles is better BBQ than HP - I enjoy WAS for a sports bar too (Welch Ave. Station). Old Chicago is pretty sweet as well.

In Des Moines, Krieger's is a good place to catch a game. It is right across from Jordan Creek so you can drop the wife off for a few hours.

I would have to say Old Chicago is quickly gaining on me, but you can't beat the ol' living room so you can scream really loud at the bad calls and missed field-goals:)

First off those who are saying that Hickery Park is overrated are just crazy.

For sports restaurants you can't beat Old Chicago in Ames.

For game day traditions has to be Great Plains (mostly basketball or after early games in football because you obviously tailgate before football).

For watching away games Legends is pretty cool with the almost excessive number of TV's

West Towne Pub doesn't have enough seating and I presume it will be impossible to get into when games are on.
