I'm now just getting back into nascar after taking a very long break. I was always big into the Pettys dating all the way back to Richard. Two of the current drivers that I like are Elliot Sadler (because he's tied in with the Petty team) and Mark Martin. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't somewhat interested in how Danica does as well.

honestly, I used to really dislike the guy. but there must have been something at Gibbs racing that fueled his whinny cry babyness. for whatever reason, since he started his own team he doesn't bother me near as much?? I'm not gonna pull for him or anything, but I no longer hope he goes cartwheeling through the infield in a ball of fire!!!

That's why I like them :cute: It's awesome to see them get the stereotypical Nascar hick fan all riled up. Dale Sr was my first favorite. He used to be hated too until later in his career.

There are a lot of guys I root for like Martin, JJ, Kyle Busch, Kahne, Bowyer...and there are a few guys I don't want to see win like Dale Jr, Gordon, Edwards, Kenseth.

Have all of you been to a race before? I've been to Kansas 3 times and want to get somewhere different this year.

Kyle Busch - Everyone hates him, and I like it. Plus my little girls love the M&M car.

Then Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer due to their Midwest roots.

go to either bristol or talladega. doesn't get better then either of these if you're a race fan. obviously also the 500, but i doubt your willing to pack your bags today and head to daytona

and honestly, maybe i'm biased just because it's in Iowa's back yard, but go see a race at the newton track. very fast for the size, the banking allows them to run wide open like a superspeedway but it's only 7/8 mile so it makes for some very good racing. I've been to the last two IRL races and the nationwide, will definitiely be going back for both this year!!
