I was only 8, I barely remember it, I do remember how amazing that stadium was though.

Lived in Wi. at the time going home from work stopped on top of a hill alongside the road and got to listen to it on WHO. It was crazy to listen to.
Favorite FB memory is just the generic throwing of the oranges on the first touchdown of the season. (Back in the 80's the 1st TD of the 1st game the student section would throw oranges into the end zone, symbolizing we were going to the orange bowl)
Honestly didn't mean much in the grand scheme...
But the 2013 Kansas Frozen Bowl game was my most memorable. Just the conditions made it something special. If it weren't near zero, it probably wouldn't mean near as much.
Tailgating was insane. Beverages would freeze playing flippy cup before people had a chance to drink it. No coolers necessary, just drop the drinks in the snow bank. Hardy tailgating crew still managed to have a blast considering the
Had field passes to cover for work, but due to conditions (and flat out not caring) the other half of my duo backed out so I took my cousin from Missouri with me. As you can see... the making of my profile pic... dancing with ShonJohn. He came right to us after scoring his long touchdown. The field was pure ice outside the numbers. Difficult to see outside of the press box due to the condensation and frost that was building up on the windows. Shaking all the player's hands as they made the rounds after the senior night win was pretty cool too.
Close second is obs Okie Light 2011.

There are literally hundreds that are probably in contention but one of my earliest Cyclone memories was the Lafester game, I was 8 and listened to the game on the radio with my dad. We were going nuts, the next morning I opened my bedroom door to the Big Peach section of the Register sitting in front of me. The headline read "Fa La La La Lafester Rhodes" as it was just a few days before Xmas.
We actually talked to the white hat (who had long icicles off his 'stache) between that score and kickoff and asked him if that was us. He said it was for all the teammates coming in and them all continuing to dance for an excessive time. Something like that.
He also said it wasn't his coldest game he ever refereed. Said one time at Air Force but didn't specifically name exact year.
1) Watching the students pack the field - 50000 of my best friends singing Sweet Caroline with me - going down on the field when it was safe enough for us old farts to be down there...
2) Company seats on about the 20 yard line for that one...and that block from Wags from outta nowhere!
3) Per all the news reports - he didn't run, he lumbered...

2 moments. One occurs at the start of my fandom and the other occurs much later on.
1986 first round of the NCAA vs Miami of OH. Went with my parents to the Metrodome but they were only able to get 2 tix together and a single by itself right behind the backboard. Me being a preteen parents are concerned with me sitting by myself. I'm totally excited by the idea of being an "adult" and sitting by myself at a big game and I plead my case and they relent and let me sit there. So I get to see Hornacek hit the winning 3pt shot right in front of me. One of the most persistent memories I have of Cyclone athletics.
The other is at the OSU upset. So cathartic. Rushed the field as an old man. Wife stayed home during the game since she was pregnant and was having some issues. 5 days later had our first born on Thanksgiving 10 weeks early. Wife blames the stress of the game for the early birth.

That high-fiving with the fans was a favorite memory from that game. We were insane, but we were there for the whoooooooole thing.
1992 Nebraska game, helped pull down the goalpost and watched them pass by my dorm room as they were being carried to Lake Latrine. Kiss concert later that night rocked and stuff. Great weekend!

ISU/Nebby game in 2008. My boss had something going on the week of the game and gave my now wife and I his tickets: 5th row, 50 yard line, visitor's bench side. The only stipulation is I had to wear Husker gear while I was there, to which I vehemently rejected the offer and got the tickets anyway (didn't have enough . The fans I was surrounded by were actually pretty nice (must have shown up on "overconfidence day").
Long story short and 8 turnovers later, people wouldn't make eye contact with me and several fans tried cutting in front of me on my way up the stairs as they left their seats, but I didn't care. I hit up the ISU watch party afterward in the Haymarket. You talk about Zombieland; holy depression, guys!

Nov 26, 1973 Buddy Hardeman was running right in front of us for a touchdown and somebody came off the Okie State bench and tackled him. He was awarded the touchdown anyway.
The Wallace game at Iowa of course although I was almost killed. Friend's dad 65 years old took a swing at me when I yelled "HOW BOUT THOSE HAWKEYES"

I'd like to know more about this story. I'm sure the statute of limitations is ran out on it.
One of my favorite memories is a loss. Against Colorado(Homecoming?) under Earle Bruce, as time was winding down, ISU scored a touchdown. Instead of playing for the tie and kicking the extra point, He went for two for the win. Even though it failed, It showed that we weren't satisfied to just tie a game. We were there to win ,and most of the crowd cheered.
1. My first football game, 1981, win over #8 Missouri 34-13. Crutchfield ran all over them that day. I was a junior in high school and my older brother took me to a game. I was hooked.
2. La la la la la LaFester Rhoads game. Waited out in the cold all night to get tickets to that one.
3. 2000 Win over Colorado in Boulder. Snowing the whole game. Just a really cool environment and watching Sage dominate.
Obviously the Okie State game would be the best, but I watched on TV.

A first and lasting memory was Luther Blue's kickoff return against the Skers. Gave the whole stadium confidence that we could win the game and we did.
Blasting UCLA in the Sweet 16 game. Watching us toy with and completely dominate a Blue Blood was most satisfying, especially given what had happened 3 years before.
