Favorite boy names

Elliot? You're gonna name the kid Elliot? No, you can't name the kid Elliot. Elliot is a fat kid with glasses who eats paste. You're not gonna name the kid Elliot. You gotta give him a real name. Give him a name. Like Nick. Yeah, Nick. Nick's a real name. Nick's your buddy. Nick's the kind of guy you can trust, the kind of guy you can drink a beer with, the kind of guy who doesn't mind if you puke in his car, Nick!

We are due in 2 months and are having a boy as well....haven't decided on a name but have a short list going.

I really like the name Liam. If I were naming a son I would probably name him William, but have him go by Liam.

I also like the names Dominic, Landon, Jace (with Jason as the actual name), and Sean.

Coincidentally, I was considering naming a boy Cass or Riddick and having him go by...well, you get the idea.

I have a friend (not a Cyclone fan) who named her son Cyler. Not my type of name, but if you want a Cyclone-related name...

We prefer strong, traditional, masculine names. If we are able to have a boy, the first will be Charles Robert (nicknamed Charlie, named after both grandfathers).

agreed...

and naming a kid with a different spelling variation of the norm (and bizarre)--where the kid spends a LIFETIME correcting people on his name's spelling...

come on people. good lord

We were going to name our boy Cael. Which I think is a great name. Forget the ISU ties.

I know an ex-Iowa MBB player (played his senior yr under Alford) and his wife named their son Cael.....They loved the name and liked sanderson...Both big Hawks of course

I tend to like ends with an -n ending: Logan, Cameron, Nolan, Owen, Easton. Colin or Ryan if you are looking for more traditional names.

Also a fan of Avery, Cole, and Mikko, for no particular reason.

But only if your having a Japanese girl?

Just as long as it isn't Aiden, Aydin, or how ever the hell you wanna spell that wussy name. I'm so sick of that name. You have the show "Sex in the City" & single moms everywhere to thank for that name. Give him a strong, manly name. You have the daughter; it's daddy's turn. I've always liked the names Erwin & Luke. Those names sound like guys you'd want in your corner in a bar brawl. Also never been a bad looking Luke in history. Fact.

We're having twins in a month and decided on Greyson (boy) and Campbelle(girl). Also on the boy's list were Hayden (like the name but couldn't do it for obvious reasons) and Ascher. We had a really hard time with girl's names.

With our last one, we couldn't come up with a girl name. I told Mrs. Velo that she had to come through with a boy - she did.

Biologically speaking, she had nothing to do with that. It was all your doing. No pun intended.

We were going to name our son Kyle James. But we wound up with three girls.
