Favorite boy names

Just don't bend over backwards to be different and whatever you come up with spell it right (see the first point).

We had three boys and none of them had names until they were born. We tried to pick solid names that werent super popular (top ten anyway). Calvin, Benjamin, Colton.

please not "Nile", "Hayden", or "Kinnick" .

Yes I know three families who named their son(s) these names.....

sad but true.....don't think any of the three sets of parents were Iowa alums either.

Hayden for a girl is ok I guess.</h1>

We had a boy 6 weeks ago... Hudson John was what we came up with. Wife teaches and hasn't had many Hudson's and it does have a ring to it.

My wife and wanted a name that wasn't too common and one that could be shortened if we wanted. We went with Isaac and use Ike from time to time. My brother now calls him Ikenator or Ikester! In the end I really like the name.

Neighbors just had a little boy and went with Wyatt.

My wife and I named our second son Kohen Jack. Number one son is Kaeden Michael. Both good names if I may add

1) Find a male family member who had a profound impact on your life or the lives of others.
2) Honor their memory by giving your son a strong name and a connection to their past.
3) Enjoy.

Dax. that's right. my name's Dax. and it isn't due to that no talent *** clown that was on punk'd either. i had it long before he became famous.

My wife and I struggled to come up with a boy name we both like also. She was actually watching Oprah one week before he was born and saw a boy on there was named Rylan. I actually loved it so that is what we went with. Good luck to ya!

I got to choose the name for my boy (she got to choose for the girl), though we both had veto power for anything truly terrible. I wanted to mark him as a Cyclone for life and work it into his name somehow. Josiah, Cyrus, Cylus, Trice among others were briefly considered, though not too seriously. In the end I went with Denton, we use it as a middle name, but it could work as a unique first name. The Cy connection? It was Cy Young's actual first name (Denton True Young), thus also incorporating my love of baseball.
Not suggesting that fan affiliation should dictate names, but it works well for us.

Theodore. There are many ways you can make it your own....Teddy (when they are young), Ted, Theo. It is a classic name that nobody uses anymore, so that makes it unique.

I tend to like ends with an -n ending: Logan, Cameron, Nolan, Owen, Easton. Colin or Ryan if you are looking for more traditional names.

Also a fan of Avery, Cole, and Mikko, for no particular reason.
