Favorite bad movie

Especially after the three more recent Terminator movies, the third move and the TV series are actually pretty good for what they are. I remember at the time the third one didn't have a huge budget and I believe Arnold put up cash himself for that chase scene you are talking about. And because it was practical effects (Like the mad max movies, original indy trilogy, the new top gun hit) it has held up well over time vs a ton of other stuff.

I think sometimes people hurl lazy criticism at sequels without really thinking it through. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is very similar to T3. Other than Fury Road, the chase scene at the end of Thunderdome is probably the best one I've ever seen.

Terminator Dark Fate is awesome and I will fight anybody who says otherwise.

Totally missed that it said "favorite" bad movie. So many of my favorites wouldn't be considered "good" by a lot of people. I love a great/terrible disaster flick, but it has to be at least visually entertaining if it's not otherwise done well. "Earthquake" comes to mind. Hardly a masterpiece of filmmaking. Cheesy dialog, predictable disaster film plotting. But still enjoyable (to me). "The Towering Inferno" came out the same year, but showed how a big budget disaster film could be made. All-star cast (including Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, William Holden, Faye Dunaway, Richard Chamberlain, Robert Wagner, Robert Vaughn, Jennifer Jones, Fred Astaire, etc.), top notch effects (especially for the era). Some would dismiss it because it was 'just' a disaster movie, but it was nominated for 8 Academy Awards (including Best Picture), winning three (not Best Picture).

Terminator 3 is worth it for that end scene alone.

I also thought they made a mistake not keeping those 2 actors for the next movie.

About any movie with Jean Claude Van Dam in it seems to fit this category. Just can't get get enough of the fight scenes. Just his acting is pretty poor.

Full disclosure, I didn't even watch because salvation and genysis sucked.

I will watch if/when I see on a streaming service I have on your recomendation.

I go to bat for the tv series. It was ahead of its time, could've been so good as streaming series with same cast.

Gwildor and the cosmic key?
Saw this in a movie theater when it first came out with only 2 other people in the theater. One I went there with, the other was a friend of mine that just happened to be going to the same showing. As a huge MotU fan, this movie was something more than even my 10 yo self could take. In fact, I'd say this is the movie that shattered all my childhood illusions about Hollywood.
