May I ask why we are drafting so early? Its the first week of March. We don't even know what rosters and injuries will look like coming out of spring training.
Fine. IF THIS POST GETS AT LEAST HALF OF THE 16 OWNERS TO LIKE IT BEFORE 5 p.m. SUNDAY, I WILL PUSH THE DRAFT BACK CLOSER TO OPENING DAY.

**** that. I would guess the availability won't be this perfect the next 5 weeks. I know I will be working the next 11 nights in a row.
As for Spring Training injuries, that type of **** happens. There's a DL for that.
(For the record, I would be fine with increasing the DL to 4 instead of 2)
This is no different than having your NFL Draft in early August.

I'm going to err on the side of not increasing the size of the DL. I don't want it to be abused. If **** happens, that's just tough luck. Yes, I'll think the same if five of my draft picks get injured in spring training or the first month of the season.

The only thing that I would liked changed is the amount of time you have to pick. You should know who you are picking by the time you get to pick.

This is me mobile liking this post. There's many more disadvantages vs advantages by having a draft this early.
I agree that having it later is better than sooner, but so far it sounds like this Sunday is a great time for a lot of people to draft. IMO, I'd rather have better turnout to draft and have everyone have a shot at their guys than waiting til later and having others be forced to autopick.
(maybe) Draft Day bump. If you'd rather draft at a later date, like my bolded post above. Must get at least half of the league to like the post by 5 today to push the draft back, otherwise we'll be doing it at 7 tonight as scheduled.

Does anyone think that 9 pitcher slots is too many?
We are going to be thin as it is because of the 16 team league.
I feel like we would be fine with 3SP, 2RP, and 2 P slots. Then we could add another Bench slot and be good.
I think that would give us flexibility to play some different types of pitchers without having to reach for the 48th best reliever just to fill out our rosters.
What does everyone else think?

Holds get counted for stats, so I think that will help with having so many pitchers. Unless of course you go closer heavy.
Yes. I would rather go with more generic P spots anyway if you shrink the number for more flexibility for saves and holds. Cut the SP specific spots instead if we do any.
