Fantastic Season

This was one hell of a season. By the looks and sounds of it this will be a trend in Cyclone basketball for a long time to come.
 
You bet.

4 guys w/ over 50 made 3's
a 2nd year coach w/ a 23 win season
3rd in the Big 12 (picked 8th)

and best of all, we look to be better next year. The program is on an upward trajetory. Bring on summer AAU/ recruiting!!!
 
Agreed. There should be absolutely no negativity, meltdowns, blame or ragging on players.

There simply isn't any blame to go around. We just lost to probably a top 5 NCAA team in the last 10-15 years.

Outside of Royce, we were out gunned in spots 2-7 to a man.
 
Yeah, I thought the Cyclones played a hard fought game today. Unfortunately we didn't have our three point game today to show the nation how well we can shoot it. But I loved the effort we put on the floor all 40 minutes.

Credit to Kentucky for putting on the best shooting clinic I've seen all season. They've shown that they've earned the right to be called the number 1 team in the nation.

But this thread is about the Cyclones. And they gave us a great season. Thanks to all of the players and the coaching staff. I can't wait for next year to start!!!
 
Nobody beats the Kentucky team that played tonight, period. They shot lights out. So proud of our guys! We showed we can hang at times, we are good, but they have 5 studs. WAY TO GO CLONES! MADE THIS GUY PROUD!!!!
 
Could not agree more and says something when UK has their starting 5 till the end.
 
HUGE THANKS to Scott Christopherson and Chris Allen. You guys gave it your all!! PROUD TO BE ONE! I hope you always consider Iowa State home, as we will always welcome you here!
 
What a season,as far as next season I think with or without Royce, we can get to the tourney but with him you're talking about a top 10 team.
 
Loved this team this year and I can honestly say its been along time since I have been this into ISU basketball. Thanks for the year fellas, they gutted it out tonight UK was just playing perfect nothing to hang your heads about.
 
Absolutely I'm sitting here in a recliner with my 9 year old. I grew up remembering watching Grayer, Alexander, Hoiberg etc and it solidified me as a Cyclone fan. For most of my 9 year old's life I've been worried about how am I going to get him excited about Cyclone basketball. He's disappointed in the loss, but he bleeds Cardinal and Gold now.

Exactly. It was a great season. This team we played tonight was unbelievable.great season guys and way to fight to the end.

I can't wait to see what Kentucky does to Indiana.
