ISU Fan is more upset with Fant than all of the other Iowa fans on here.
Literally no one ******* cares about your moral compass, including every single Hawkeye fan in this thread. Congratulations.
Oh, idk, maybe honor their scholarship and not sell out on teammates because you are so scared of getting hurt? Seriously, grow up, this exactly what people talk about when they are talking about the snowflake generation.
You think guys 20, even 10 years ago were just deciding not to play when they were perfectly healthy because there is a chance to get hurt? This reminds me of the Noland thread when I called him out, then everyone got all triggered saying he might get hurt so he just quit in the middle of the season.

In my opinion, there are only 2 groups that significantly benefit from non-NY6/playoff bowl games.
1) Coaches/players that are coming back next season significantly benefit from the extra practices.
2) The bowl game organization and their community rake in revenue
Strong statement by someone who has no idea what a 20 year old is thinking about. Ask yourself, and be honest, would you be willing to risk millions of dollars to play an exhibition game? If yes...good for you. If no...good for you. Move on...You obviously never played any competitive sports.
Especially when it’s a ****** moral compass to begin withISU Fan is more upset with Fant than all of the other Iowa fans on here.

For those saying it's a glorified exhibition, wouldn't the players benefit from boosting their stats further and also from the additional exposure of playing in a nationally televised bowl game? I can see why they do it, but especially in bowl games it is a chance to go against new schemes, unknown opponents, etc. I would think that would be worth something.

This is Fant's way of leaving with his middle finger extended. And who can blame him?Lol no. He couldn't get out fast enough
+ Imagine if all the 1st / 2nd round 'Bama players decided to sit out how that would alter the playoffs.
+ Do you all think this might bleed over into basketball? What if the DOOK players sat out the NCAA tourney?
I don't know what I'd do personally. What I can tell you is a majority of first round picks dont sit out, so there is stronger evidence to backup my opinion than the rest of you guys that disagree with me.
Maybe, but it’s probably a cost-benefit analysis. For some players, their stock probably won’t go up much no matter what they do. Some might really improve their draft stock by playing in the bowl game. I think it depends on the individual player and I don’t think there’s a rule that you can apply to everyone. For those saying it's a glorified exhibition, wouldn't the players benefit from boosting their stats further and also from the additional exposure of playing in a nationally televised bowl game?
