F1 2023 Discussion

Wonder how many passing sectors are on this track. I get the Vegas thing is cool but I hope it’s not like other street courses where basically winning pole means u win the race.

The DRS zones and straight sections of track are VERY long. Or at least feel that way when playing the F1 23 Game. Think we should have plenty of passing for a road track.

Yeah. Aero choices are going to be a major choice. Do you seriously minimize drag to get the speed down the straights, but then have to slow way the hell down for the corners, or do you try and get higher entry/corner/exit speeds to be able to out brake other people?

I can't imagine anyone will go with a high downforce setup, the corners are all pretty slow and the straights are soooooo long.

The one down the strip is ridiculous, in the game you top out and you’re only 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through it. And a long lap time, comparable to Spa lap times IIRC.

On the F1TV weekend warmup they compared it to Monza in terms of speed and that made a lot of sense to me after trying it.

To be fair, it's likely Verstappen will win the pole and the race regardless of the number of passing zones
