Checo is becoming a legit contender for the championship. He needs a lot to go his way though
Yeah I still very much doubt Horner/Red Bull would let him win it over Max if it's close down the stretch. Would need some mechanical errors/bad luck for Max I suspect.
Has to convert opportunities like today into wins.
He has to put pressure on the team to not favor Max, which will be really difficult for RB to do.
Max is still the better driver and the clear favorite for WDC.
Clearly, that’s why days like today are important. Has to be in the lead of the championship and Max needs some bad luck.
Not saying I want max to finish last but if say he tried to pay back Russell today, and ended up putting himself out of the race that would be great for Perez.
At this point I would root for Stroll to be Max, Mt motto is anyone but Max.

Looking a lot like Saudi again. Max is going to have to close a decent gap on Perez at the end. Max looks good but it’s been smooth sailing for Perez from the start, he’s going to be tough to beat.
Impressive race by Max, got a lot more out of the hards than Perez did.
