Every game I say 'Ok THIS game we are gonna come out flat and not shoot well...'

Turns out...I think we are just this ******* good. We are a nightmare for every single team. Cannot wait for Monday....we have no pressure on us. This season is just ******* insane and fun so far and still can accomplish so much. Quickly becoming one of my favorite ISU teams ever. Go Cyclones!
Whatever you do, DON’T STOP!

Yep. This is the main concern of mine in March. Second would be a team that is just really good from three as that is our kryptonite on that end if teams can pass out of the traps and pressure to shooters.

I was quite pleased that we came out in a strong man to man with limited trapping today. Wasn't TT a pretty good 3 shooting team?

The thing is I think we may have already had a bad game or two.. and just fought through it.

Baylor for sure was a bad game, that we made close with some nuttiness

BYU too, but BYU also played pretty well

Maybe also OU, but that was more ‘meh’ than bad

Yes so it was nice to see. As we know with the tournament, neutral court is completely different, just like what happened at BYU doesn’t concern me that much since it was in their building on their hoops. Never know how teams will shoot in some of these neutral site games in March. It’s why Omaha is a big deal to make it feel like a home game for us.

Even though KU isn't their normal selves, they also beat them by 30 the other night.

They can play ball.
Exactly, home or away that’s a pretty tough team that the Cyclones led by double digits most of the game

Keep sayin’ it!

Tech has come back from way down on a lot of teams, so the idea we would coast to the end was probably wishful thinking.

Looking ahead to March, I like seeing this team get challenged and have to fight off teams/close out games
We benefited that their big center was out today. Him crashing the boards is part of how they have come back on teams.

Any team can lose when the other team gets hot shooting threes. That's how Purdue lost to Northwestern and Nebraska.

That's probably what it would take for ISU to beat either Purdue or UConn. Our bigs have been playing great, but Edey and Clingan are just too big. Let's say we did meet one of those 2 big men in an Elite 8 matchup. It would be great if we could play JT Rock in a game like that to help absorb some fouls, but it looks like NCAA basketball players still lose their redshirt even if they play only 1 game.

I keep waiting for the same thing. Every road game I've gone into it thinking "Man its probably coming to an end soon, but this run has been nuts. What a fun conference season this has been".

And then we just control games wire to wire. Being up just 7-2 yesterday I was thinking we weren't far away from slamming the door shut.

Things have certainly changed for the better since the Virginia Tech game…

Turns out while any win is good and one loss may move a seed line or two or disqualify a bubble team, November/December is only part of the season and doesn't define it.

Similar to TJ's first two seasons where they were able to jump on teams early in the season with how they played but the talent disparity in skills and speed would catch up to them as the season wore on, but still got favorable matchups in the tourney.

The NCAA tournament is wicked and I hope people can (yeah right) attempt to understand that just because the team was doing so well in February, it doesn't mean it will go well in a one game sample.

Really off topic but him (Rock) not needing to be fresh enough to play, or even worry too much about conditioning is going to give him the chance to really pack on muscle. I hope he's been walking funny the last 4 months with everything they have him doing in the weight room.

Hope they cleaned up after
